These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aerosim (HK) Ltd and its research division Aerotyrnd (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the Universal Aviation Aptitude Test (“UAAT”) platform, including all associated services, content, and functionality.
By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation (flight school, university, airline, or authority), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
UAAT is a standardised, multi-dimensional aviation aptitude assessment platform comprising six modules: Cognitive, Psychological, Knowledge, Communication, Operational, and Behavioral. The platform uses artificial intelligence to deliver, evaluate, and score assessments aligned with ICAO standards and regional aviation authority requirements.
The platform is designed as a supplementary assessment tool for aviation training and selection purposes. UAAT results do not constitute a licence, rating, endorsement, or certification issued by any aviation authority.
To access assessment features, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, are used in breach of these Terms, or are inactive for an extended period (with prior notice).
Certain assessment modules require tokens to access. Tokens may be purchased directly or allocated by your organisation. The following terms apply:
You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose of aviation aptitude assessment and training. You must not:
Breach of these acceptable use provisions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, invalidation of assessment results, and notification to your affiliated organisation.
The integrity of UAAT assessments is fundamental to their value. All assessment content, including questions, scenarios, scoring rubrics, and AI evaluation criteria, is confidential and proprietary. You acknowledge that:
All intellectual property in the UAAT platform, including but not limited to software, assessment content, scoring algorithms, AI models, trade marks, logos, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Aerosim (HK) Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the platform in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of any personal content you submit (such as your name and profile information). By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to use your assessment responses for the purposes of scoring, generating feedback, and improving the platform (using de-identified and aggregated data).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Our liability for any loss or damage (however caused, including by negligence) arising from or in connection with these Terms or the platform is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the amount you paid for tokens in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform if you breach these Terms, subject to providing reasonable notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We will retain your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable legal obligations. Assessment records may be retained for verification purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation in Hong Kong SAR.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent interlocutory relief from a court of competent jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the platform.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Amendments: We may amend these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on the platform. Material changes will be notified to you via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
